Corrections and data reports
CourtScope separates a possible problem report from a verified correction. Reports are reviewed against official source records before public data or scores change.
Report a possible problem
Include the city, case or judge page, the exact item that may be wrong, and the official source that supports the correction.
What happens next?
- Receipt.The system creates a report identifier.
- Source check. An operator compares the report with official records and stored provenance.
- Impact check. If verified, CourtScope checks whether the change affects a case, judge summary, or score.
- Correction.Verified changes are recorded with the affected source and methodology version.
A submitted report is not proof that the published information is wrong. A score is not changed until the underlying correction is verified.
